In summer 1994
the first re­lea­se was is­sued un­der the na­me «Me­ta­pha­se 2» ¹).

In Swit­zer­land the first im­ple­men­ta­tion of Me­ta­pha­se 2 was in­stal­led in 1994 at a com­pa­ny cal­led "Lan­dis & Gyr" in Zug. It was rea­li­zed with the first be­ta re­lea­se, with dis­tri­bu­ted data and data­bases bet­ween Swit­zer­land and Swe­den, clients in Swit­zer­land, Swe­den and USA.

The cus­to­mi­za­tion of that ti­me could be pas­sed with­out much cor­rec­tion trough all re­lea­ses in a stab­le man­ner up to 1970 (when I stop­ped all ac­ti­vi­ties).

In ear­ly 1997 the com­p­any «Meta­phase Tech­no­lo­gy Inc.» was com­ple­te­ly ta­ken over by «SDRC».
The sys­tem was cal­led from now on «Col­la­bo­ra­tion Foun­da­tion» (in pa­ral­lel to «Me­ta­pha­se») and got a new logo:

In year 2000 ap­pea­red for the first ti­me the na­me «Team­cen­ter» and again a new lo­go as well:

Meta­phase from the an­cient Greek "μετά" (‘meta’ = af­ter) and "φάσις" (‘phasis’ = sta­te) is a sta­te of mi­to­sis in the euka­ryo­tic cell cy­cle in which con­den­sed chro­mo­so­mes, car­ry­ing ge­ne­tic in­for­ma­tion, align in the midd­le of the cell be­fo­re be­ing se­pa­ra­ted in­to each of the two daugh­ter cells.
